Does your content fit the main demographic?

Talk of the iPad has not dwindled much since the device was released on April 3rd. Not that the hype is a surprise, since the device is a unique, environment changing apparatus.

But how much do we really know about the iPad so far, other than the fact that the content-consuming product sells well and provides an intuitive, media-rich experience.

I recently came across an article from DIGIDAY:DAILY that discussed some of the ways people are using the iPad.

The article first mentioned survey information from Neilsen that stated that 60% of all iPad users are between the ages of 25 and 55. If your core audience is made up of that age demographic, then you’re in luck.

The article went on to discuss the company’s own survey that found stats on when people use the iPad, how they find new apps and how people respond to in-app downloads.
